If you're from Scarborough, at some point in life you've been treated differently because of where you call home. Over decades, Scarborough has been thrown so many negative nicknames such as Scarberia, Scarlem and we've even been referred to as Toronto's wasteland. We've been depicted as the ghetto and a crime-ridden slum not worthy for its own subway line.
True Scarborough heads know that this portrayal is a complete lie.
WE KNOW THE REAL SCARBOROUGH.
Today, it's time for change, it's time to change the narrative and it's time we tell our kids and the future generations of Scarborough kids to be proud, stand tall and know that the world is theirs.
